Q: Should I choose a metal loft ladder or a timber loft ladder?
A: This is a matter of personal choice. Simply put, it's up to you!
Q: How long does the average loft ladder and loft flooring installation take?
A: It takes approximately 6 - 8 hours.
Q: After I order my loft ladder from you how long do I have to wait for you to supply and fit it?
A: 2 - 4 weeks, depending on season and availability.
Q: We have just purchased a new build property and have been advised by our builder not to floor our loft. Why is this?
A: Put simply, moisture in a new build property has to dry out. Depending on circulation and ventilation this can take between 3 - 6 months. Furthermore, in some new build properties floor joists can be weak and therefore may not be able to take the weight. However, we can reinforce the joists which enables you to get your loft floored.
Q: The insulation in our loft is higher than our floor joists. Therefore, if we get our loft floored will it damage and flatten the insulation and burst the ceiling?
A: No. We will raise your existing floor joists and fit new beams to allow for the height of your loft insulation. This ensures your existing loft insulation is not flattened or damaged in any way.
Q: We live in an old house with old ceilings, can we still have a new loft hatch installed?
A: Yes. Our skilled and experienced tradesmen can fit loft hatches to virtually any property old or new.
Q: Once my loft has been floored am I able to still access the space below?
A: Yes. All our loft flooring and boarding is screwed to the joists which enables them to be quickly and easily removed should you require access to the space below.
Q: Do you dispose of all your rubbish?
A: Yes we dispose of all our rubbish. Additionally, we always clean up after ourselves and leave your home or property as we found it.
